This nothingness

The idea behind the following poem has been extracted from a Tobey McGuire starrer movie "Brothers" wherein he was compelled by Jihadis to bring his captivated mate to death so as to set himself free.
****************************************************
Often time plays
torments on you
but i am a bit different
to be true
for it has toppled
me into nothingness
for something i committed
back in that wilderness

Amidst the jadery
 of the Jihadis
and the helplessness
of this heart
was being refrained
my mate
of his life,his love
and a daughter
still in her cart.

A lead bar i was handed
and thus the uneasyness
for i was to beat him to blood
to alight myself free
into this nothingness

Compulsion resounded
with some twenty savage men around
I wasn't there ,though standing
my mate bleeding and crying
right down on the ground.

For what followed
is what keeps me so
good old memories flew across
just as everybody is destined to go

Today when his wife
with her expectant eyes
glances and gazes
those distant skies
and an old man
bent with a burden
I look for an answer
in these hands
if and only if
i could
without disputation
beyond
this nothingness.

Reflections of Truth

 Got faded amidst the statistics
the saga of struggle in blood
this badly it did cost
to hug the past draped in mud
The festive hours i know were there
but
a smile found home at a handful of faces
Every single step of yours makes you wobble
perhaps
you too are willing to leave
imprints , worthy traces
Meetings,plans, annoncements,decisions
countless rocks and hazy reflections of truth

Each one of us hails Punjab,Kerela or Andhra here
But how many know "Aryavrata", this is what
we will ponder and we should.....
we will ponder and we should.....
***********************************************************
the idea was to write something that stands by the country youth..The piece set out its journey somewhat around the days when the much hyped "verdict" was to be out..
JAI HIND,JAI BHARAT

Just Soulz

Now raise your voice.Follow me
Thank the ones who kept us free
Whether Delhi , Dispur or Island of Andaman
Offer prayers and an open palm
Lets salute the brave, the tired, the true
who loved liberty through and through
Who clutched the flag and held it high
who ran with it to the battle cry
For souls like me and you
Who loved our country more than self
Left comfort home upon a shelf
Risked it all for freedom's hue
Doing, of course ,what they had to do
For souls like me and you

We have to anyhow follow them
In faith; pave the path for future men
Light of hope around them pearled
Or live oppressed in a bitter world
Evil is still dancing on mother earth
Caring we aren't for freedom's worth
Peace n love beyond their grasp
Doomed to hell's external lock and hasp
Plucked from earth, and by and by
We ol 'll reach beyond the sky....
Beyond the sky.....!!!!
Someday...

VANDE MAATARAM !

Hail "Tiranga"

Give a hearty cheer
for those who shed their
blood for you
When saffron white and green
streaks the sky right through
Remember those who for their flag
in the lap of their mother
did bleed and die...
Die that we all might
in this land breathe free
in this sacred land of liberty
For Aryavrata's great destiny
lies in its right to choose
Honour our forefather's brave precepts
Or our brave country lose
So ever hail the saffron, white and green
That on this day brings a teary eyed dew
Raise her banners high and higher

Celebrate with kites
the night gleaming with fire
We fervently pray
Never in vain will have been our fight
For with duty
We offered our most revered birthright
Vet's honored our grand old tricolor
With supreme patriotism
for freedom fought
With gallant heroism
Now we pray with sacrifices
given stalwartly
But 'Tiranga' will fly on into the
annals of history
Flying forever over this land of the free
Waving over the home of the brave...!
