Trapped..!

No light anywhere,
the tunnel so cold,
breath filled with fear,
no spirit so bold,

I remember mum saying,"believe in yourself",
and thus I take every step gathering myself,
But, I don't see any destination,
darkness overpowering every motivation,

I may lose the battle,
and even the war,
forgetting about the light,
I was running for,

never ending darkness unveiling few fears,
the ones I kept inside for so many years,

The slowly decreasing heartbeat,
wishing I could get up back on my feet,
But, I may lie trapped here forever,
